    InsideAfrica Development Bank has donated assorted items for COVID-19 pandemic valued at 250,000 US dollars to Western province. Western province Minister Richard Kapita who received the donated items meant to support the Ministry of Agriculture through the Cashew Infrastructure Development Project (CIDP) said the consignment will be distributed to vulnerable people and various organizations in the province.

    Mr Kapita said the Provincial Administration was elated that the donated assorted items would reduce the impact caused by the pandemic in Western province.

    He said that all the 16 districts of Western province will benefit from the gesture done by the African Development Bank in the region.

    The donated COVID-19 pandemic materials among others included 3,000 by 25 kilogramme bags of mealie-meal, 800 by 10 kilogrammes of Urea fertilizer, 800 by 10 kilogrammes of D- compound fertilizer, 800 packs by 30 grammes of rape, cabbage, tomatoes.

    Others are 150 boxes of gloves, 3,000 by one liter of cooking oil, 1,000 hand sanitizers and 10,000 by 250 grammes of medicated soap
