    FTC’S AND FTI INFRASTRUCTURE REHABILITATION BY CIDP IN WESTERN PROVINCE LEADS TO INCOME GENERATION.

     The Cashew Infrastructure Development Project CIDP has been implemented in Western Province since its launch in 2016. The CIDPs objective is to contribute to poverty reduction, improve household incomes through enhanced cashew production and processing with the developmental goal to contribute to the country’s economic growth and food security. 

     The Five-year project is implemented by the Ministry of Agriculture and is being funded by the African Development Bank (ADB). The CIDP has succeeded in the infrastructure development of the 3 Farmers Training Centers (FTC) in Sioma, Kalabo, Lukulu and one Farmers Training Institute (FTI) in Namushakende of Mongu District, by both renovating the old structures
